Catching nails/ MBD????

Nails that started catching in everything, could this be a sign of MBD?

*Maybe* Zeke's nails get snaggy on the tips because the spoiled little monster doesn't like to walk or climb on rough stuff. Put on some strong glasses or use a magnifier and take a look at the nails to see if there is a reason for it to happen.

Does get HHB and proper diet, but I was just wondering.

How old is the squirrel? I think as they get older, closer attention to this needs to be paid. Not just that it is easy to fall into the habit of giving just a little too many treats and not paying THAT much attention to how many HHBs are actually getting consumed; I think that they likely need to have a little more calcium as they age. Put those two conditions together and you can end up with MBD.

Tinks did this for a while…like snagging on all my clothes, fleece, everything….keep in mind this is when she had teeth. Now she does fine with them. They are good and sharp now. I crumble her HB up over her yogurt now so she consumes it, the other half comes in form of a boo ball made with HB from her Auntie Snickerbar.

She's 4 and she's had a good diet and eats HHB, of course she loved her auntie Tuff's best 😁
I've been able to trim them but now she will have none of that😜 so I put bird paper in her dinning area so she has to use it, it seems to help👍
