    Default Aspirated pneumonia 7 w.o.

    1st time rehabbing squirrels
    group of 3
    1 has clicking when breathing
    Got 2 antibiotics on hand atm
    Found keflex 500mg
    found clarithromycin 500mg

    In order to dose meds, we need to know the weight of the squirrel.

    Neither of these meds are very good at treating Aspiration Pneumonia... I'd call family, friends and neighbors. Cipro or Augmentin are 2 that are very common and have good effectiveness on AP.

    As you are asking family, friends, neighbors, etc., I wanted to add that you should also ask if anyone has Clavamox(the pet name for Augmentin) or Baytril (which is more commonly used in pets than Ciprofloxacin and is essentially the same thing). If no one has the human versions on their shelves, they might have something left over that was prescribed for their animals. 🤞🤞
