Coast and Canyon Wildlife Rescue is in the Los Angeles area (Malibu).

Releasing is a process. When they reach an appropriate age they are transitioned to an outside release cage. They stay in the release cage until release. That can be anywhere from a week to several weeks. When released some will hang around the release area. We always feed them for a while after release until they are fully transitioned. Others leave right away.

That was the case it seemed any time I tried to reach one in the past as well and why I chose to raise my Nibbles myself. And now I’m excited to raise even more. You sure you don’t want info on how to do it yourself? . There’s a wealth of knowledge and experience on this board to guide you if so.
are you around los angeles? please take these 2 lil ones!!! all the places im calling are saying they arent taking any animals at this time Dx i would love to but i am unable to care for them correctly, and i work as well and the place im moving to next week wont allow that. please help@!
We have a release cage you can borrow if that is all you need; it is modular so it can be easily transported; we can even deliver it.
We would need it returned though when the release is fully accomplished, which then we would pick it up.

Sorry I didn't catch the part about you moving. PM me.
I'm in your area.

Are these grays or fox squirrels?

Hi, checking back to see if you released the squirrels; with this area is now burned out at least in part, perhaps the powers that be may now agree to release them elsewhere. Send me a PM if you get this message please. DF
