Question Baby Boy with confused/concerned newbies

Ok so we really don't know what we're doing. He is having some breathing issues and we upon further inspection and research I discovered that it could be nursing trance. We have also been told numerous things from people who say they raise squirrels. When we found him, he had fallen out of his nest and he had some internal bleeding. I think we took care of that. He is kinda starting to open his eyes but we are having difficulty with his feeding/drinking/pooping. He pees like a champ. We just need helpful tips. We have been feeding him with a syringe from CVS that is meant for medicine so it doesn't have any kind of nipple to it, we cut up a coffee stir straw and attached it. He has been getting constipated. We are kinda struggling here and we all love him. We have been giving him pedialite and kittens milk substitute. We are getting some dry dog formula replacement to see if that will help. We have been using a hit of a nebulizer to help open his respiratory system because we are concerned about pneumonia but we are worried that the nebulizer will kill his organs. We are doing out best to keep him hydrated. How much/how soon should we feed him of each stuff. He is just starting to open his eyes if that helps tell you how old he is. Thank you in advance.

He's about 5 weeks old. Order some Miracle syringes and nipples from Henry's Healthy Pets. Don't give him kitten milk. You want Esbilac with probiotics. It's powdered-- not the liquid. Mix according to directions. Start him off with diluted formula and be VERY careful not to aspirate. Drugstore syringes can stick so that when you press the plunger, baby gets a gush of milk that can end up in his lungs. Give it drop by drop from the end of the syringe onto his lips until your syringes and nipples get to you. I think there are videos of feeding a baby. Rather than a nebulizer, try good ol steam--a warm mist vaporizer or even a steamy bathroom. A little apple juice between feedings may help constipation. May not be much to poop if he hasn't been eating. Kiss his tiny head for me.

When you say he is having trouble breathing...... are you hearing clicking when you place the squirrel up to your ear? If you hear constant clicking then your baby does have pneumonia and will require medication.

As far as feeding goes..... purchase Esbilac with Probiotics and feed it every 4 hours @ 5-7% of the squirrels body weight with a 1cc or 3cc syringe.

Keep the baby squirrel warm with cozy fleece and a non shut off heating pad set on low for warmth for a few more weeks.

I am so sorry. This was likely due to the internal injury. I am glad that at least he passed being cared for.
