My squirrel has a bump on his face that went away before but has now come back and has a white circle in it. What could this be? We changed his bedding and food, but he still has it.

Went away and came back??
I'm thinking of abscess that may have drained and now filling again with first question
that comes to mind is how is his teeth?
Do they appear over grown?

Because he is not in the wild he can't naturally file his teeth so we have to cut them for him or else they grow too long and hurt him when he eats. He used to be taken to a pet shop where they cut his teeth but recently we've been having to cut them at home. Could that be it? Is it perhaps an infection in the top of his mouth?
Possibly and is what I'm wondering. Can you get a good look on the inside to check for any type puncture? He may need anti biotics if this is what's causing the problem and that's an abscess of some form. Can you take a picture of his teeth?
Many have squirrels not in the wild, there are ways to help them keep their own teeth filed down so long as they are able. They need substantial hard items to chew on even in captivity.
