Default What age is this baby squirrel?

I got a baby squirrel 2 days ago on June 28th and I cant tell what age he is. Hes got a dark head and a pink body. All the pictures I see the babies are totally pink or they have the black running down there back and hes in between. He also has very tiny baby hairs around his mouth and whiskers. Any help would be appreciated so that I know how much to feed him. Currently I've been doing 6 - 8 ccs but I dont want to under or overfeed him. I would insert a pic but I dont know how to get the url of it.

Do you have a kitchen scale? You need the weight to know how much to feed. I definitely need a pic. If I post my email can you email a pic? This sounds like a 10day-2 week old from your description but a pinky could NOT even hold 6-8cc.

We need to get this established tonight. 6-8cc would be for a 4-5week old.
    Overfeeding can be deadly.

    What are you feeding?

I see that you signed off. I sure hope you see this soon. If you have pinky, 1-2cc would be close to the proper amount per feeding.

Here is a link with baby squirrel care information.

He weighs 14 grams and yes I can email you a picture also I've been feeding him esbilac and on the websites I looked at it said at 1-2 weeks which is how old I think he is to feed him .75 - 1cc

Wow, 14g... that’s small for even a FL baby grey. I had a tiny, tiny pinky that was 21g.

I’m going to send you a Private Message with my email so we can get a picture up. If it’s a squirrel I doubt it’s even 2 weeks. I wonder if it’s a flyer.

I’m glad you clarified the 6-8cc. You scared me.

    No, I can’t find it.

Let’s see if I can talk you through posting the pic yourself.

Under the post box you will see a tab that says Manage Attachments

Click this. In the upper corner you should see a tab at says Add File. Click. Then click Choose File.

It will take you to options for finding the photo in your phone or computer. Chose Photo library.

Your pics will come up and you select the pic. Click upload and a thumbnail of the pic will show up at the bottom. To the right will be a tab that says Insert. Click and the pic should be in your post.

This is how I do it with an iPad. I’m sure there are other ways.

Another option is send me a Private Message with your email address. I will send you an email that maybe you can reply with the pic.

Does he/she have the little black speck
    from the umbilical cord?
    Oh so cute!

Oh my. A tiny pinky baby. I would recommend that you purchase a mini and a regular Miracle nipple from Henry’s Healthy Pet. These nipples are the best and will reduce the chance of aspirating. Be very careful that Peanut doesn’t aspirate formula. Just precious.

Is the baby pooping and peeing normally? The reason I ask is because sometimes tiny pinks have difficulty digesting commercial formula. If that happens and bloat becomes an issue you would need to switch to the Goat Milk Temporary formula. If everything is working well, I wouldn’t change a thing.

Is the head bruised? It looks purple to me.

Also add to the list above, a couple of 1 ml O-ring syringes.

Edit: Also when making the formula, add HOT water to the powder
and let it sit for a couple of hours in the refrig, stirring occassionally
so that the powder completely dissolves.

Hes been pooping and peeing normally I potty him after he eats and he always goes. Also i ordered the nipple and it came today. Also about his head I have no idea if its bruised I thought he was just getting that black that they get when they get older. So do you think hes less then a week old?
