    Default Teething?

I've noticed today that my wee widdle guy has taken to chewing on a bracelet that I have. Made of a fake leather or even a rubber band bracelet my daughter had made. I don't know if teething is an issue for them or not but he was definitely trying to. Hes still drinking formula and gaining weight now..FINALLY! (super happy about that!) Hes roughly 5-6 wks? If you look at my recent pics of him you can see how hairy he is and maybe help me determine his age? Should I find him stuff to teeth on? I've seen them little chompers! What can I give/do for him?

i provide cut up pieces of a Henry's Block... www.henryspets.com i cut it in thirds, it gets a wee bit hard over a day and they like to cut teeth on that. you can provide small pieces of apple tree twigs to chew on

an old deer antler piece is ideal it has calcium in it too. i have one antler that has been teethed on by 5 squirrels now. last a long time. I have given almond in a shell for them to teeth on too. Some ;people say don't do that but mine eat their "good" food too, so it is a controversial choice.

Are you talking about this: http://www.henryspets.com/squirrel-b...rowth-formula/
Is there anything that I could buy locally while waiting for this to arrive? Im sure I could snatch a twig off a neighbors tree as for an antler? I'm a city dweller, no chance of that.

I will try and find you an antler,

yes that is the right thing for your baby. 2 blocks a day when it gets bigger and starts eating them. They are expensive, but complete nutrition and vitamins, makes it worth it not to worry about diet.

rite now it will probably just tear them up to teeth on for a few weeks, don't despair! lol they will eat them.

Thank you! Would they sell these antlers at a pet store maybe? One more question: Obviously while hes teething, should I keep my fingers clear of a little mouth? He hasn't tried to chew on me as of yet, well maybe a couple of times, nothing bad. I'm worried about him literally chomping down on me. Should I be concerned about that too?

When Lenny was teething, I would keep plenty of things for him to chew on nearby so that if he started chewing on me, I would offer him some alternative so that he got used to the idea that his squammy was not a chew toy!

Oh, and from my experience, they won't chomp down hard on their squammy unless they feel scared or endangered. I bought Lenny antlers at Petco.
