    Exclamation Attacked by neighborhood kitty

My wife (best friend) has a squirrel in her care that got attacked. We aren’t sure to what extent the wounds are but any insight and tips for helping this baby on his healing journey while he is in her care would be more than appreciated. I dabble in the education of these sorts of things but with tiny animals the course of action is very different. The only options she was told their is (because we live in a community where lives of “pests” are nothing. But looking at these videos I don’t think his life is ready to be over. So any suggestions would be grand. Thank you!
Just noticed I can’t post videos yet. But the little guys breathing was quick but not labored which is expected because of the situation and he was still very mobile but his back leg his hurting him the can’t bear weight on it without falling right over but he’s still very bright eyed and spry.

Pain meds (you can use infant ibuprofen, sold as a fruit flavored syrup and available at the drug store).

Antibiotics. Cat's mouths are a mess, bacteria-wise, and the safe bet is to give antibiotics in advance of a problem. Check your medicine cabinet, call friends, et., and see what you can locate. We will help with dosing.

Do you have the ability to weigh the baby? Preferably in grams? We dose by body weight.

Pain meds will be administered by oral syringe and you will need one. A 1ml syringe with clear markings is required to administer meds.

Pics showing wounds would help too.

Can you post a picture of leg ??

Since this is a cat attack, he will most likely need an antibiotic (AB). Look in your medicine cabinet, call friends to find any leftover AB, only 1 pill is needed. Report back what you find. Also get a 1mL syringe (no needle).

TSB does not host videos so only way is upload to YouTube or similar and post the link here.

If you are newly registered TSB member, I believe posting pictures is blocked for 24 hours or so.

Sure Does! Nothing we can do. I just like having closure especially on "red alerts"

Hope OP comes back with an update sometime.
