Default MBD, how long to give him to recover?

I started him on MBD treatment yesterday, he seems worse today, he is on 500mg of calcium spread throughout the day. I am going to up it when I get home tonight.
His pain seems worse, he freaks out if I pick him up or even put my hand near him. He is on pain meds (metacam and gabapentin, with some cbd oil).

Its just day 2, its heartbreaking to see him like this.....can he make another recovery at 10 years old? How long should i give him to see a change before I decide to euthanize? Its not right that he is in so much pain and discomfort, I don't want to prolong this treatment if its really not going to help.

So....day 2, no better. I was going to give him until Saturday if no change, sooner if he gets worse......do you agree?

    Heart breaking..........C

Yes, I just Had A 14 year old that did. It was 2 1/2 months treating her. It takes time. Offer heat.

Ok, thank you for the reply.............his left leg is tucked in and he can't use it. I may try some laser therapy today. I just don't want him to suffer so. I am willing to work with him as long as there is some hope he can recover, but certainly will consider euthanasia if its too much for him. He currently doesn't even want me to hold him, so I am just giving him pain meds, feeding and letting him rest.
    Thank you, for all input...Carrie
