    Default Incontinence in baby?

I have a 5.5ish week old who is overall healthy. Great formula appetite, beginning to munch on blocks, learning muscle control and how to climb on her tiny stuffed animals without wobbling, etc.

I've noticed that, especially when I take her out, she dribbles a bit of urine. Literally a few drops at a time, but pretty often - in my hands during feedings, on my pants leg as she's looking for a place to sleep when I'm sitting down, on blankets as she's walking across them, you get my drift. She completely fusses whenever I try to stimulate her, which I get, I mean she is a big girl after all I know she can pee normal amounts as she's done it on me a couple times.

Should I be concerned about the dribbles and take her to the vet for a potential UTI? Or has it really been that long since I've had babies that I've just forgotten this lovely little surprise they leave behind? (The vet I would be potentially taking her to is safe and I've used them before with an NR - they're actually who called me to get her a week ago)

If this is normal, don't laugh at me too hard, it's been a hot minute (years probably) for any new intakes on my end!

Not laughing - but thanking you for being so kind. Squirrels pee. They pee when they're nervous, excited, scared, and under any other circumstances. Unlike us, they don't think about it much, if at all. It just comes out. After a while, you might get them to home in to a specific "bathroom" area. Don't be disappointed if it only works sometimes. Keep an eye on the color. It can be a little darker than ours - otherwise, if it looks like pee usually looks and does not smell foul, things should be fine.

You did not mention any signs of distress or pain when peeing. If there are none, I'd put the idea of a UTI on the back burner.

Thank you for putting my worries to rest! I'll accept being dribbled on with grace
