I bought the special nipples to use on the syringes and the milk replacement powder recommended. It may be the same as what you are using. I never gave her sugar water except in the beginning when she seemed dehydrated. I kept a heating pad under the box I had her in and used a floor steamer removable mop thing that had a thick soft covering and turned it inside out so the soft part was inside. It made like a big pocket and I put her inside of it so she would stay warm. The heating pad under the box provided enough heat to warm the "nest". I know there is a feeding schedule but I fed her when she was hungry making sure not to give her more than the recommended amount, although I may or may not have given extra a few times when she seemed really hungry 😇
She thrived using the formula. I mixed it up, put it in a small glass bowl and warmed it just a bit because she wouldn't drink it cold. I am not sure if this helps you or not but I wanted to try anyway. If your baby is not thriving you may want to contact someplace like the Nature Center in KC ( 816- 513- 8960) where they have access to licensed rehabbers who can address any medical issues and may have access to vets. I am so grateful I never needed a vet because NO ONE around Webster County treated native animals!
Of course this forum is an excellent resource if you plan on trying to raise her yourself. I pray yours will begin eating better soon. I am wondering how often you give her water? Maybe that fills her up and she eats less. I may have misunderstood that part
