An eye issue with a somewhat wild squirrel.

One of my regular visitors, that I call her Sweetie because she’s super sweet, has what looks like an infection in one of her eyes. My roommate noticed it a week ago and thought the eye was gone. I just fed her but couldn’t get a picture. I believe the eye is there but it looks gooey and crusty. I’m thinking it’s an injury that has gotten infected. Any suggestions to help her would be greatly appreciated.
