Capstar / Capguard (nitenpyram) is a relatively safe med that can be used but if this is a mild case, I would simply give a good bath. If you feel you want to use this let use know and we'll provide instructions.
I place 1 drop of revolution (selamectin - The plain one, not any of the ones with other ingredients (plus and what not)) on the back of the neck before placing my releases in the release cage, and while Revolution is generally safe I prefer not to use before 3 months. Revolution requires a vet prescription in the US.
