Where can I get toys from?

I'm trying to create things for him so he's not bored.

Can I just grab things from outside? I'm going to hang a rope from my ceiling so he has something to swing from I notice he likes swinging. What are other things I can create?

I buy fleece blankets from Walmart fairly reasonable, I take some and cut in strips tie them where they can swing/ play with them, and I use them to make hammocks in their cage.
Regular toys I go to dollar tree buy the fuzzy teddy bears etc. if they have a squeaky inside I remove it I don't want them choking on plastic and they always go right for it 🙄
