    Default Flowers

Since spring has arrived my lilac bush has began to grow and I have been wanting to get some of the flowers before they die. Are lilacs safe to be in a vase in the same room as a grey squirrel? I don’t want any flowers that could be harmful around her.

From what I’ve read, true lilac plants (flowers and branches) are not poisonous to animals or humans. The exception is a bush that gets categorized as a lilac which it is not and that is the chinaberry tree.

Here’s the list of safe foods and plants but it doesn’t contain all plants. https://thesquirrelboard.com/forums/...-Pet-Squirrels

Personally if it's not on the list I'd go on the side of caution.
