    Default Help needed.

I found a baby squirrel on August 15 this year in my back yard. He appeared to be less then a week old. I’m pretty sure my cat found it or something. When I picked baby up, he was extremely cold. I proceeded to warm and rehydrate. Fed water and sugar until the stores opened, got puppy replacer and ordered squirrel milk replacer that came two days later. I found no injuries. He was doing great until 2 weeks ago he was favoring one leg. I thought he might have broke it. Started him on anti inflammatory. Few days later, his knee on that leg was really swollen. I was worried about abscess but it felt like callus from bone healing. To be on save side I started him on amoxicillin (until I could get baytril) and yogurt. He did have diarrhea but acted perfectly normal and was using leg again. He was eating very very well too. Well today all of a sudden he has been acting very lethargic and not himself. So I gave him a dose of tums in case of MBD and stopped antibiotics in case it was messing with gut and causing dehydration. Gave some warm water and sugar/salt and he is eating it but not very enthusiastically. His mouth seems really dry and slight skin tent. I made some saline to give sq but waiting to get to room temp. Also gave metronidazole for diarrhea. He is staying warm but he doesn’t look good. Then just now he shook his head, sneezed and a bunch of fluid came out nose. I’m very worried. I’m getting baytril tomorrow, should I start that? Anything else I can do. Should I give sq fluids? Also something note worthy, I moved him into a kennel with fence boards around it so he couldn’t try getting through bars. Well, a week ago he got out but seemed perfectly normal but it was probably a tight squeeze out.

I forgot to mention the formula he is on is Exotic Nutrition Specialty milk replacer and I also started putting Henry’s rodent blocks in but Havnt seen him eat those yet. He has tried apples but usually just sorta sucks on them. Loves loves loves yogurt (plain)

Does he get any sunlight? You can dissolve a calcium tablet ( calcium only, no other vitamins included with it) in water and give him that orally by syringe.
