    Default Almost lifeless squirrel

I have 2 squirrels both dehydrated. I have been feeding them hydration fluid,( 1cuo water: 2tsp molasses) for 24 hrs now. I fed them 1ml ever hour. Rocket, the smaller one is now lethargic and almost lifeless. Only movement is when he jerks away from syringe. I tried giving 2 drops of clindamycin but not sure how much went down. I have ordered other meds but not in yet. Help please!! He might be too far gone but I'm trying to keep him warm and attemp to give water mix every ince in a while. He was slow moving in rhe middle of the night but I thought it was because I have been waking them up so often.

I'd adjust the molassess down to a single teaspoon. Have they had any stools? Too much sugar can result in runny stools...

Has their hydration situation improved at all or have they gained any weight form the hydration? Are they peeing? Posting new pics would be helpful.

Did you give the clindamycin because you suspect Aspiration Penumonia... is he clicking when he breaths?

    Update?

with how dehydrated these babies were, they should be getting fluids more than “every once in a while”. If extreme enough, you may need to give a small amount every 15 minutes for 2 hours….
