Default Chance of a squirrel coming back

I found a squirrel and raised it a while back. She is around 4 months old now. Today she ran out of the house and I haven't seen her in around 8 hours, it's dark out at the time of writing this so I don't expect her to be running around right now, but I was wondering what are the chances of returning to me? I put a small perch for cats she uses outside with some food, so I'm hoping she can detect her scent.

Yes keep the food water coming. It was so cold last night she may come looking for her warm digs 🤞
Squirrels are smart with a great sense of direction. Go out with nuts and call her she very well may come running.

I'll try that. Day 2 and I haven't seen her yet.

An early release isn't necessarily a bad thing especially here in Florida where it's usually warm and food grows year round👍
I do hope she comes back so you can breath easier 🙏

I had a squirrel self release three times in January in North Carolina. It wasn't warm. Each time she let herself back in after 24 + hours outside. She worried me to no end. Eventually I did figure out how she had gotten out and closed that off.

So, keep putting out food and water in a location that is elevated off the ground and preferably somewhat shielded from the air. A basic trail camera will let you know if she is eating these things.

She hasn't come back yet. I've laid out food for her and it's been chewed on but no sight of her yet. There's a good amount of squirrels here so hopefully, she's with them.
