Baby squirrel is breathing heavily, pooping and clicking. He might be dying!

Hi, I noticed my baby squirrel started clicking, so I gave him antibiotics. 30 mins later the clicking sound is gone, but he started heavy breathing and pooping a bit loose, light brown color. (he's not usually like this). Please help me. He's currently inside a box with light bulb.

Are you sure about that weight? A 20 gram squirrel is usually hairless and pink, eyes closed.

And that does would be about 10X or more too much for a 20gram squirrel.

Hi, sorry made a mistake. i meant 50gr and fed him 0.2 ml (switched the numbers) Sorry I'm very scared right now what am I supposed to do?

Update: gave him a faux fur to warm up. Trying to find heat pad but might unable to. Should I feed him pedialyte?

The dose given was much more than he should have received. Amoxicillin is very hard on their stomachs and can result in diarrhea.

If he is cold, by all means warm him up.

Giving additional fluids and macrobiotics can only help.

At this point I think you need to provide support... warmth, fluids.. and hope he gets through this...

A single baby like that NEEDS additional heat - his body isn't big enough to generate it on it's own. In the very least, fill a liter soda bottle with hot water, wrap it in a towel so he can't actually get against it, and put it in with him. You need to monitor it constantly - if the water gets cold it will pull heat AWAY from him. A heating pad is what you need...
