3 month old squirrel ran away

Scared from a dog my 3 month old squirrel ran away in the trees I can see him but he is not coming back and now it is 6 p.m. and now it's dark. Will he will bee able to survive?

He will probably survive over night, but if I were you, I’d be up at the crack of dawn and try to coax him down. Squirrels will usually not move once it becomes dark.
