    Default Pneumonia?

My neighbor found 3 baby squirrels that fell from the nest during the rainstorm. 2 of them are dead and he wanted to let the other one die of hunger outside. I couldn’t find any help that wouldn’t euthanize the squirrel so I decided to keep him/her. He must be around 3-4 weeks and I think he has pneumonia, there’s weird sounds in his chest and his breathing is very deep. There’s a little clicking sound and like the sound of congestion. I have a plethora of antibiotics at home.. I have tetracyclin, rifadin, azitromycin and I must have some clyndamicin somewhere but it’s in pill form. Might have amoxicillin if I dig enough , I have a skin condition and we tried many antibiotics that did not work so I have a pharmacy of leftovers at home… I bought cream , Esbilac and some Pedialyte and a bunch of syringes, he ate three times already. He’s not moving much but he’s awake and made a couple of sounds, his poop looks normal from what I seen. I’m still reading on what I should do but my vet wouldn’t see him. Could I get some advices ? I think he might need some antibiotics

Can you get hands on amoxicillin/clavulanate or Cipro (ciproflaxacin)?

If so, we will need the weight of the baby in grams and the milligram size of the pill. You will need a 1cc or smaller syringe with clear markings on it to dose him.

If you don’t find the other, you can use the tetracycline. Let us know what you have and we can dose it.

For the rehabbers, I dose tetracycline like doxycycline.
