Default SEARCHING FOR REHABBERS IN ILLINOIS

Came across a Squirrel that was laying in the park seemingly near death. It was extremely dehydrated. It isn't very young from what I've read online, but I am not sure what to do. We made homemade pedialite, and he is drinking it! YAY! It has eaten just a bite of an apple though. Anyway, hoping there is someone in the area that is much more knowledgeable that can help this little guy. He's a fighter! He seems to be feeling better now. I'm in Chicago. Please let me know if there is anyone that can help! Thanks in advance.

Thank you for helping. Watermelon is a good source for rehydrating, too. Offer water in a shallow bowl and keep him somewhere quiet and dark.

The only rehabber I know of is:

    Herrick Wildlife Rescue
    Herrick, IL
    618-428-5266 home
    217-825-7040 cell

This vet might be able to help or point you to other rehabbers. They are located on the Indiana/Illinois state line:

    Arborview Animal Hospital
    219-762-7267

  3. Serious fuzzy thank you's to Mel1959 from:
