Exclamation Help for injured baby grey squirrel in Portland, OR

Hi, today as I was getting mail I saw a crow drop a baby squirrel in the middle of my street, and peck at it. Of course, seeing this I rushed to help it, not really thinking past "must help". Well, the baby has two broken bones, the right foot (leg?) and a broken jaw. I'm observing it and am keeping it in a box with a blanket and heated rice sock. I attempted to feed it the "pedalyte" solution found on here, but it seems to be very weak and unmotivated.
Any help or guidance on this is greatly appreciated, as the Oregon state law requires for any greys to be euthanized, and I would really rather not have that.
    Thank you very much!

Hi, and thank you for caring for this baby! For starters you can check the link at the end of my post for baby squirrel care. It's 6 pages. The "next" button is at the top right corner.

My concern is the jaw. If it's broken, it seems it would have to compromise the baby's ability to eat. Mechanically and pain-wise. I am by no means an expert, but hopefully someone who may have dealt with a similar injury will be able to give you advice.

EDIT: Pics are always helpful. It will also probably need meds for pain and injury. Can you get a weight in grams? They need that to dose meds.

Are you near Portland? Or actually, Vancouver, WA? Our ace number 1 rehabber is out there and the WA address means they don't have to euthanize. Michael is awesome. He posts here as "Duckman" but can be reahed by phone at 503-975-9394. Call him!
