Default Newbie/ found 6-8 week old squirrel

Hello. I am hoping for some guidance on helping this little squirrel I found on my property. We tried sending it off back into a tree 3 times and every time he comes back down and was trying to get friendly with my cat (thankfully it was my doofus cat who didn't hurt him). We decided to try to rehab him, and now 7 days have past and it seems his injuries are becoming more apparent. He had big goose egg on his nose, a swollen nose which has gotten better but a knot has formed under the right side of his jaw; about the size of a pea. He also seems to have hurt his left leg. He won't walk on it, but does does sit with a wobble.

I am worried if I bring him to a rehab they will just euthanize him. He is eating. He seems to favor sunflower seeds and formula. We are temporary feeding him supplements, pediasure& pedialite, until we can get some goat milk and yogurt.

I would like to know what I can do for his leg, or if I should should just bring him to rehab person.

i think we are going to end up at the vet at this point, too.

    I just need some re-assurance.

Well the hubby decided we should release him to a rehab specialist.

Hi, I'm just seeing this now.
If you haven't found a place for him, please call
    North Country Wild Care
Here is their hotline number (518) 964-6740

Let me know if you need any help with this.
I also have a vet in Saratoga that does wildlife.
