Size: 91.3 KBHello. When Stanley was brought to me on August 2nd he was maybe less than a week old, he still had his umbilical cord. He started on establic puppy powder with whipping cream but It looked like he was actually loosing weight so I started him on fox valley 32/40 August 12th. He is up to full strength formula now and is gaining weight and growing. I just saw the post about the 32/40 killing babies so I bought the 20/50 on amazon. It won’t be here until Tuesday. I’m really worried.
    1. In the meantime should I switch back to the establic or use the 32/40 at half strength? 2. When the 20/50 gets here do I have to introduce it slowly like with the other formulas?
    3. I’m definitely going to be feeding him a lot of water as the posts said but would apple juice help flush it out also?

    Thank you!

I attached a pictures of him on the first day, before switching to fox valley, and todayAttachment 311126 Name: 8DA68780-5BEB-4FA3-8D2F-F7693E40AA32.jpg

First, please breathe. You are FINE. The 32/40 would have caused catastrophic issues back when he was tiny. At the size he is now he is totally capable of digesting it properly.

At 4 weeks of age you will want to slowly transition him to the 20/50 as it contains the nutrition he needs at that age. Slowly increase the amount of 20/50 while decreasing the 32/40.

When his eyes open you'll want to get him nibbling on some high quality rodent block. Henry's is the preferred and Harland Envigo 2018 is also good.

Make sure you're feeding him between 5-7% of his body weight per feeding so that his weight gain continues.

    Good job so far Momma!

EDIT: There is no reason to super hydrate or to add juice at this time. He's not having an issue...if it ain't broke, don't fix it....
