Found 4 babies 2 are gone

They will eat better after they have been warmed.
Cold babies do not have an appetite.

OMG another baby just fell out of out back tree (we have two giant maple trees in our back yard and two small ones on the front yard) a squirrel was clearing in some kind of conflict with another squirrel, baby fell, one squirrel chased the other to a neighours tree. Not sure which was the mom but neither has come down for the baby. Baby has been laying in the grass for less than 5 minutes. We are hoping mom will come down, we can see the baby moving in the grass but no idea if injured.

How long should we leave the baby before helping it????

Wow unbelievable. We were out on the deck and saw a squirrel come down and start looking for the injured baby. I ran out with the injured baby that just fell and I saw the mom already had another baby in her mouth. She took the first baby up then came back for the injured baby. My wife then told me to put out the original 2 babies and she came back one by one for them too. WOW that was awesome. I don't even know if the original 2 babies we had were actually hers or if I just tricked her into adopting them. She was bold enough to get them while we were watching as we often feed the squirrels around here.
