    stop using the 32/40 immediately.

IT IS NOT SAFE for babies of that age, and has not been safe since 2015 when I and other rehabbers lost dozens of pinkies because of it.

Esbilac is fine until their eyes open. If the bloat continues to get worse (you are seeing the beginning of bloat with all of them right now, because of the 32/40 crap) you need to start this protocol as follows:

Oh my heart. Thank you for such a quick response. I’ll trash the 32 immediately.

Thank you and I apologize for my curt and heated response last night. I was SO tired and had just dealt with another emergency and then I just wanted to make sure you knew we were really, really, serious.

We did .3 ccs of water every hour from 930-330. I just gave them another round. Both of their belly’s are deflated and I can not see any milk in their tummy’s anymore. Haven’t had much bowel movements though and the one little nugget I got was still very firm. Same sitation as last night which is why I didn’t switch to the 25/75 mix. Should I continue with the water until they process the wet stools? Or start transitioning to formula again? I don’t care about any tone you may had, it was the I formation I needed and I thank you ❤️

    Thumbs up Re: Formula Warnings

Cory still has the slight bulge at the bottom of his stomach. The other seems to be total back to normal. (He also never had firm stools, they always formed and felt normal).

I would start transitioning them to formula now.
    I imagine they're hungry.
How were you told to transition them.

I really hate the thoughts of you putting in
    more 32/40 for too long.

Basically the 20/50 Fox Valley is the same thing,
only with the fat content being higher, AND they use
dried whey protein as opposed to dried milk protein found in
    the 32/40.
The dried whey protein is what we tell everyone to get when buying
    the puppy esbilac.

I have the 20/50 and the goats milk esbilac. I just made a bottle of 25/75 of the goats milk.

Ok I would do 2 feedings that way, then go up to 50/50 for 2
then go up to 75/25 with Fox Valley being the 75%.
Goats Milk formula is suppose to be a pretty easy transition.

So just to get this straight, you are no longer feeding 32/40.
If so my mistake earlier was thinking they were still on the 32/40
and you were transitioning them to the 20/50

In the second photo, I'm not sure if the picture is turned,
but is this little one on his back?

You always feed in an upright position with the nipple pointing
towards the roof of their mouth.

I have 4 different types of formula stashed from KMR to Fox valley 20/50 and everything in between. I will feed them according to your suggestions.

I let him suck on the nipple with an empty syringe just so I could get a clear picture of his belly. 😊

I'm sorry for the confusion. I thought you were still using 32/40.
OK instead of only doing 2 feedings at 25/75 go to 3-4 feedings
    and so on. OK?

Should I give them their normal amounts? They’ve been eating around 1.6-1.8 cc.

Before all this, one was about 33g and the other was closer to 30g.

1.5-1.6cc is 5% at those weights.

Do you have any idea how old they were when you received them? Did they have fur? Were they pinkies?
You mentioned having them almost 2 weeks. I just wanted you to know that your babies are extremely underweight.

Hopefully they will start gaining when transitioned to the proper formula.

EDIT: I just saw your profile pics. They WERE pinkies indeed. I guess they are younger than I thought.

How old would you guess they were in that picture? They had zero fur but you could see the slit in their eyes. I chalked it up to around 1 week 🤷*♀️

Cory and Trevor seem to be doing much better. Their tummy’s deflate completely before their next feeding. We are feeding about every 3 hours. And they are both closer to 40 grams as of yesterday. Since we had the FV issue, we did the water for awhile and then transitioned them to the puppy formula. They seem to be having some pooping issues. Wednesday, we started the no formula water for 9 hours. Then back on diluted formula the next day, and we got a BUNCH of poopies from both. The typical gold little nuggets. Now, I haven’t had a real solid stool from either. They both are producing a nug or two, but they are extremely soft and slightly sticky. I’m not sure if that would constitute as constipation or something else? They do not make any noises when passing them or any sign of strain. Should I keep feeding normal formula and give it some time?
