    Default Antibiotics

Oliver aspirated earlier. He’s not showing any signs but I’m asking around to see if anyone has cipro. Someone has noroxin is that something I can use if he needs it?

I do not know how effective Noroxin would be against aspiration pneumonia, I would continue to try to locate Cipro or other antibiotics. You are wise to start looking for it now and have it available; you do not want to wait until they get sick because AP can take them down so quickly.

So can I give it to him even if he’s not showing signs?

You don't need to give an antibiotic every time a baby blows milk out of there nose. One of the first things I notice is that they become lethargic and are mega fussy about eating. Healthy squirrel babies are very enthusiastic about eating so fussy eating or refusal to eat is a major warning sign of AP.

But please heed Spanky advice about the type of antibiotic to get an do it before you need it.

I found one ciprofloxacin 250 mg that I had! I’ll just wait and see how he does.
