Default Joes pet meds and revolution

    Hello TSB ,
I have heard a few things about revolution and joes pet meds lately and how the medicine is no longer the same and it is shipping from China ,
I went to joes pet meds facebook page and it has some pretty bad reviews .
Whats your opinion on joes pet meds ?
Also is there a alternative site to order the revolution from with out a prescription or is there anything better then the revolution ? ( I wont use Ivermectin )

Where are you seeing bad reviews? I checked several review sites and the dates on them were all more than a year old; some went back to 2013.

I have had only good luck with them, but I don't buy a ton of product, either.

Revolution (selemectin) is what we have the best good data on. Certainly the 30 day coverage is better than what you would see with ivermectin.

I would sit down at the computer and start googling both "revolution" and "selemectin" without a prescription and see if you turn anything up. I saw people getting upset because the billing is from Hong Kong not Australia... As long as they don't charge my card a bunch of times I really don't care where the financial work is done.

I have never had a problem with Joe's Pet Meds. I have ordered from them several times. My orders have come surprisingly fast considering they come from half way around the globe. (About a week)

This has been my experience as well, in fact one year I got it in a week and it was the 4th of July week so shipping was all slower.

It's been about 6 months since I last ordered from Joes' Pet Meds. I had also seen some negative reviews so I was a little worried. But everything was good and the Revolution arrived in a reasonable time.

My order from Joes pet meds has just arrived from Australia, and it took 15 days to come to TX. Another source I found to sell without prescription was WorldPetExpress.net

I've never used it before -first time rehaber. My guy Snuffer is 1.5 yo Red Fox squirrel. So please experienced rehabers out here remind me how to use it properly- just one drop at the shoulder blades?

Snuffer is extremely active now and I am not sure if he allows me to part his hair on a back to apply the med directly to the skin. If I just find a moment to press the tube through the cage to the top of the fur between his shoulder blades, would that be acceptable?

Another question, if he start to "clean" his fur right after as he normally does with anything I put on his fur (healing wounds oils etc) and ingest some of the Revolution drop, is it OK or bad, and how to prevent it?

Thank you so much for this blog, I am learning a lot!!

If you could stand over him and gently blow on the fur it will part. It is sort of hard to tell how much is coming out if you cannot see the drops so I wouldn't dose through the cage unless you can do that. The idea of that placement - back of the neck in the middle - is to reduce their ingesting it - unless you have the Gene Simmons of squirrels the tongue won't reach back there - but ingesting it orally won't hurt him if he actually IS the Gene Simmons of squirrels, in which case we are going to need some pictures!

    Hi CritterMom,

thank you for the tip. I will try to blow the fur and put the med to the back of the neck! I also got another suggestion by Mel1959 on administering -

" I usually squeeze one or two drops onto a solid surface and then pull it up into a syringe. Then when I push the plunger I can administer the correct amount"

    Thank you again for response!
