Default Mason is missing some fur on his tail

My boy Mason is one of 15 or so Hurricane babies I received from Irma and all are doing great except for Mason or I should say Mason's tail. He is missing some hair as you can see and I have no idea as to why this is happening. It is not getting any worse, but it doesn't seem to be getting any better either. Any suggestions, ideas or thoughts? I would hate to have is friends make fun of him when he is released. Name: IMG_0634.jpg

Without apparent damage to that tail area that is really unusual...
Wondering if he could have caught his tail on something and pulled the fur out?
You may want to put a light/thin coat of neosporin on the area to protect the skin and keep
it soft/moist. The fur should come back in.

The picture shows the top side, what does the under side look like?

I can't think of any way he could have pulled the hair out, but you know if there is a way, they will figure it out. I have been putting Neosporin on once a day and the skin on both sides looks nice and healthy. I will keep up with the Neosporin and watch for any signs of irritation. Thanks
