    Question Southern flyer leg spasm?

From time to time my squirrels legs will kick and have short spasm. They're so short it looks like he's frantically kicking for a moment then bam it stops... I never thought nothing of it. Lately they've just been a little more frequent and idk why. I haven't changed his diet-I give him squirrel block with veggies. I fear this may turn into something life threating soon. His diet is one Henry's block, squash, kale, and so on. I'm thinking he's letting up on the squirrel block and eating his veggies more. I give him one nut a day. He's not eating junk that's for sure..help pls

    Welcome Carmen.
I'm not sure what this could be. My first thought were related to diet but it seems your diet is OK. Are you feeding a protein source like meal worms? What about mushrooms for Vitamin D? I don't give my flyers a whole nut. I give them a half of an almond. You might want to eliminate the nut until he starts eating the block. I use the Henry picky eater block. My flyers won't eat the flyer block at all.

How old is your flyer? I assume you have examined the leg and see no signs of injury. What about the nails? Sometimes they 'catch' the nails on the bedding.
I guess it's just the leg and no 'seizure' activity, right?
