    Default Ear bothering baby squirrel

I have a 7 week old female Eastern Grey who I've had for a week, she has shown no issues until about an hour ago, she is stressed and upset, cannot get comfortable, does not want to be handled, and when she is still she keeps pulling her right ear back against her head. Sometimes she will scratch it. Every 20 mins or so she calls out, and when i pick her up and touch her ear she closes her eyes and starts yelling. I'm heartbroken I've never had this issue before. Her two brothers have no signs of this. Nothing appears to be in her ear. Any help means a lot , thank you

I wonder if she could have an ear infection? I know those can be very painful for them. But you said it came on all the sudden? And you don't see any redness or discharge in her ear? I have one who is fighting an ear infection now and I was able to see some redness and a little clogging down inside in her ear canal. But my little one also cried out when I touched that ear. I have been treating her with antibotics for quite some time now - if it is an ear infection, they can be difficult to get rid of. Do you have access to a safe vet that you can take her to?
Also, you can give her some infant ibprophen for pain. If you have an accurate weight on her, we can dose it for you. Poor little girl - hope she gets to feeling better soon.
