Question Swollen Head on Baby Squirrel

I've been taking care of two orphaned squirrels, Harry and Hermione, for about a week.

I surmise that they're at least 5 weeks old-- They've opened their eyes.

Today, when I woke up to feed the both of them at around 6 in the morning, Hermione's head looked swollen and her eye was crusted shut.

My sister, who was in the room with them when I was not earlier, said she started making a distress call, like she was in pain.

As I started feeding her earlier she made another distress call. It's not like she doesn't trust me or is afraid of me; I've held her so many times and she's fallen asleep in my hands a lot. She lets me feed her.

I'm afraid that there could be something very wrong with her.

Her head and left eye are swollen.

She's had trouble eating since I've found her, but I still manage to get her to eat.

She was found by my cat. I've cleaned it, but he left a tiny puncture wound in her chest, if that helps.

Thank you for any and all help.

Did this baby get antibiotics? Cat bites are deadly. Not saying there isn't something else--head trauma from a fall maybe--but an untreated cat bite is trouble.

She will need antibiotics for the cat bite! Do you have any antibiotics on hand? If not call family and friends... 1 tablet / capsule will provide an entire course of therapy for her...

    Can you post pictures?

Spanky's right you will need ONE pill of either Cipro (human form) Baytril (animal form)
    OR Clavamox or Augmentin.
