When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

TSB saved her life with me. Over the last couple months, I wouldn't have been able to do it had I not found this group. 💞 Was the picture able to upload?? I posted one, I can see if it'll work again. 😀

There is another photo that I saw somewhere on here of a squirrel eating a green bean, similar to this one. I want them blown up into posters and put in every elementary school classroom in the country.

I'm very glad to come on here and see she came back unharmed and did not get run off as many inexperienced escapees do.
You are both very lucky! Now you know how quickly these things can happen when not safely secured, lessons learned.

They really are smart! So glad she is home and safe. That sick feeling is not one I would wish on anyone!

I think it was mine!! You've helped me before with questions and I shared that same pic. It's my favorite, the other one is more current, but I can't resist the green bean pic!!

I am too! Thank you all for the continued support! She had a bath and let me help with her nails and just stayed so calm and let me rub her cute little ears!

I wouldn't either! It was an awful 12 hours. So short, but felt like a lifetime.

Definitely. I sure thought I had it figured out. Next time she's going in a real carrier, which I have. 😄
