It is WAY better than Hartz! I do use a mix of 50/50 FV and Esbilac for babies. I think you will be okay with FV.

Please don't take this wrong, but don't "try", you have to control the plunger. It is the difference between life and death. A 1cc syringe is actually better just because it is less and therefore comes out more slowly. Are you using a nipple?

Perfect! Having a doctor to help will make your life much easier! I don't mean to push you, your baby has touched my heart. It isn't quite baby season here so I am living vicariously through you. Thank-you for understanding that I am really just trying to help and I guess I am pushy by nature.

    What city are you in?
I have a phone number of a husband/wife team who are rehabbers
near Fort Smith and yesterday I
passed the information on to another member with a pinky.
The rehabbers told me they are stocked and ready to help.

Thank you SammysMom for all your help and for "pushing me." I have come here for help and am getting it. It is nice to have others finally care about my cause. Little Girl has already changed my life--seeing that tiny, hairless frozen creature come back from the brink of death has really reinforced the amazing power of the will to live in my mind. You have no idea what I have been through already with this squirrel (or maybe you do having rehabbed many yourselves). She has begun to sit with her tail aloft--it is so cute, even though part of her tail fell off due to frost bite.

Happy to report Little Girl is doing really well today. No signs of pneumonia. I'm guessing that with each additional feeding of the FV she will be getting fatter and more relaxed. Man, that FV smells good! I want to give it to my human baby to see if she grows a bushy tail

I am considering going back to feeding her every two hours. Going to have a look at her belly and then make the call if it has gone down enough after two hours.

She had that one dose of amox, so it's in her system--how long should I continue to put yogurt in her formula? I'm giving her a pea-sized portion. Is that good?

I will get the cipro and the scale. I won't post my location in order to protect the man at the Humane Society, and I'm not near Ft Smith, but I would love to have the contact info for the rehabber.

Can't be on the forum much during the day. Will check back, though.

Oh my gosh...she is beeeeeutiful...that last pic is perfect for mounting she looks healthy I think you're doing a great job...just need to slow that lil heifer down definitely practice holding the plunger back with one finger..as SammysMom and IR mentioned...are you feeding her with the syringe under her...as if she was facing down on her Momma's belly? May seem like a dumb question...but I fed my Baby...like a baby she aspirated and I hadn't found TSB ...she's lucky she survived my "mothering" anyway...there is a proper way and you may be doing it...it also lets gravity help with slowing her down

Thanks all. She is such a beauty.

I got some Miracle Nipples for my syringes and it has made all the difference. Feeding time is now the joy it should be. I've got my cipro in the cabinet if I need it. Still accepting prayers, good thoughts etc that she doesn't develop pneumonia.

I love Wendell Berry. And your sweater feeding photo is adorable. Can't wait until Little Girl is old enough to cuddle in my sweaters.
