How old is the baby that you are overwintering? Make sure she has plenty to chew on - tree branches, deer antlers, black walnuts or hickory nuts work well. Mine love toys on bungees too! You can buy them from the pet store or from Milo's mom as she makes them as well. Also, stuffed animals make great toys to wrestle with. I just try to get creative - stuff like toilet paper rolls, tissue boxes, and even big empty boxes with holes cut into them make great toys. I have discovered after spending lots of money at pet stores, most of the time the stuff like that they enjoy more!

Oh, I forgot to answer your other question - if you choose to give your baby daily out of cage time, I usually try to give at least an hour a day or more if I have time. Just make sure that any play area that you have her out in is throughly "squirrel proofed" meaning there are not dangerous things for her to chew on, fall off of, or get into. They are masters at finding things that they are not supposed to and finding ways to escape!! Believe me, we have more than our fair share of stories around here of things like that happening!
