    Question Dried Fruit?

Has anyone offered dried fruits? Is this not advised? I dry my own apples and sometimes order freeze dried fruits in bulk (not chemically treated/processed). Any comments?

I tried some raisins, & my boy wouldn't eat them. He's so picky! Loves grapes, but raisins, no so much.

I think I read somewhere that that's not a very good idea due to all of the condensed sugars. At least not often.

Be careful with raisins and any fruit/veggie with a skin! The skins of the grapes aren't removed during the raisin making process are they? [it's obvious I don't eat healthy isn't it ] I'd be worried about choking after hearing horror stories on here of some choking on fruit or veggie skin.

Dried fruits typically aren't recommended. Fresh is always better, and veggies are the best.

That's probably why Jazzy didn't like the raisins, Sara! He always rips the skins off & eats the stuff in the middle. Raisins have little to offer once there's no skin.
