    Default Baby squirrel Constipated

Hi, we recently found two baby squirrels after a storm. We've had them for two weeks with no problem, but now one of the babies is, what I believe to be, severely constipated. It has not defecated in the last three feedings. I've tried submerging in warm water and massaging back and stomach, along with Q tip stimulation to no avail. I've also stopped feeding formula until it has relieved itself and switched to pedialite. It's sibling has no problem in this using the bathroom. I've been feeding them 2:1 esbilac milk to water mix. I've also been giving them amoxicillin and 1 drop of Bene Bac Plus daily. The squirrel does appear to be bloated. Also the squirrels genitals appear to be bright red and swollen. Don't know if this has anything to do with it, but it's siblings appears to be normal. Please someone let me know what to do.

Just a suggestion..when you need answers--quickly-- start only ONE thread...so all replies are in one area . It will be helpful to you and less confusing to the rehabbers that respond.
    >>>> to keep it on the top of the list--go to your one thread--andhit reply-- (to yourself)...to BUMP IT..and keep it active..

Rehabbers will respond soon. I have had a baby go three days without pooping...I was worried, but it turned out fine and then...after he started pooping, he never stopped..Ha !!
Three feedings is (hopefully) not something to get too concerned about.
Can you post some photos...We live for pics............
Or e-mail them to me at
    stosh@jpcfl.com

and I'll post them for you on this thread.
Put "TSB photos" in the e-mail message line.

    Can you post a photo.
You said he doesn't appear bloated, correct?
Are yu sure he isn't going on his own in his container?

I worry about the penis being red and swollen. I suspect the other one
is sucking on him. IF so, this needs to be watch VERY carefully.
They can develop a scab thus stopping urination.
You may want to consider seperating them.
How much are you feeding, how often, and what are their weights?

Sorry for the multiple posts. New to the forum and wasn't expecting such quick responses. I was genuinely worried, but it just went to the bathroom. Thanks for the insight.

Now, just watch the other ones little penis.
Can you post a picture of that.
He concerns me much more than the one that
    didn't poop.
