Default Adult squirrel with open wound/poss broken foot

Last night a female adult squirrel hobbled into my back porch during a storm. She's very tame for being "wild" I've raised dozens of babies and released them so she may be one of mine from the past year. Anyway, she won't use one of her hind legs. It is swollen and raw. Not bleeding though, and doesn't look infected as far as I can tell. I wrapped her in a towel to catch her and put her in a large cage with a soft cubby to sleep in. She has been eating, though i haven't seen her drink yet ( I will try to hydrate her today) and she's been sleeping. She let me put NeoPolyDex opht. ointment on her foot last night. I read that it's good for that incase the squirrel licks it off as it won't cause digestive issues/diarrhea. I also have baytril and Neosporin with pain relief. I would really prefer to take her to the vet to be checked out but I can not find any that are open on Sundays that also treat small animals. Does anyone have any other suggestions that I can try at home? Or know of an open animal hospital today? I'm in Orlando area.

Also I can try posting pictures in a bit if that would help

Pictures always help. We have a few members in Florida. Hopefully one comes on soon that can give you info for a vet.

I just gave her water through a syringe, she drank 10cc! The picture of her foot was right after I put ointment on it so that's why it has some white in the wound.

I have no doubt that this is one of your releases. It's pretty common for them to come home when they are injured. I'm glad she is eating and drinking. We haven't had much luck with Baytril for wounds although it's what most vets will prescribe. We have had better luck with Clavamox (Augmentin) or SMZ-TMP (Septra,Bactrim). If you could get either of those we could help you with dosing. I suppose you could try the Baytril but I don't have much confidence in it for wounds.

Sorry. I don't know the Emergency vet status in Orlando. It will be difficult to find one on a Sunday who will see a squirrel. Do you have a squirrel vet? Dr.Emerson at Ravenwood Animal (Port Orange) is excellent with squirrels but I realize she is about an hour from your location. I'm sure she isn't in on Sunday.

Yeah,Ive had this happen before lol. Even one squirrel i raised brought me two of her babies to raise at on point.
I just checked and I actually do have plenty of Clavamox! they're 62.5 mg tablets. I have heard of Dr. Emerson from a different post. I've previously used Dr. Andy Newman from Winter Park Veterinary Hospital. But They're closed today as well.

Is there any chance you could weigh her? Those are the two pieces of info we need to dose meds - weight of the squirrel and size in milligrams of the drug (which you already have given).

I took Lilu to the vet yesterday. The doctor suspects that she could have a tumor. She sent out a sample to the pathologist, and I should find out Monday if it's cancerous or not.. or if it's even a tumor at all for that matter... She said that her wound was so deep her muscle and ligaments were exposed and if it was just infection it could go septic. I just don't know what to do. Has anyone experienced something like this? Or ever had their squirrel get an amputation?
    Experiences??

I started A "Go Fund Me" account for Lilu's surgery, If anyone would like to share or donate. (Not sure if that's allowed here?)
