    Question Pet Bunny Needs Help

When my granddaughter and I went to feed her pet bunny this this morning I noticed that he, Figaro, was wheezing and breathing hard (he is an outside bunny and its been raining a lot this week) --while we are waiting to get Figaro into the vet this week I was wondering if there was any thing I could start him on to get ahead of the game. I have Amoxi, Cipro and Bactrim. **Thanks

NO cillian's at all for bunny's, no way no how, don't do it.

Sounds like Upper Resp. Since bunnies are so weird, I am hesitant to say whether Cipro is okay.

Can you get your hands on BAYTRIL before you get to the vet? If so, I am 100% positive that bunns can have Baytril.

EDIT: Dosing help is available...just need to know the weight of the bunny.

How old is bunny? Love the name. My mom had a cat named Figero.

Due to my allergy to rabbits, all of ours have been out door pets.

This could be viral. Or even an allergy to mold.

Is there any drainage from eyes? Ears? Nose?

How is the behavior? Lethargic or kinda normal?

How soon can the vet get you in?

Ditto to the above.. No cillians in lagomorphs

The bunny is three years old..... he is acting normal and eating well.
There are no other symptoms other than the wheezing & breathing,
eyes, ears and nose are fine, vet can see us in two days.

Figaro does whimper when you pick him up, like in pain.

Duh... I did not see WHO was posting LOL .

    HI

    Poor thing.

Is there any way you can move Fig indoors ? I worry about fly strike when they get weak or sick.
