He just showed up 10 minutes ago, I was about to call SquirrelsAreMe but just as I was starting to dial, he ran away under the wooden fence.

I am flying to Montana tomorrow morning for a few days, so next Tuesday, if Pasha is still alive and his leg still a mess, let's set up the trap and capture him for treatment.

Please keep a close eye on this, and if you see it rupture and what looks like fish eggs come out of it, you will need to get this little one trapped and off to the vet asap. Last year, there was a squirrel down in Oregon who started swelling like this and it kept getting bigger and bigger. Eventually it erupted with 1,000's of those fish egg things and it turned out to be tapeworms in the muscles. It is rare in squirrels, but from experience, we do know it happens. I think they can survive it, if it is caught soon enough, but sadly the one last year did not.
