    Default Formula to Blocks

Hi everyone, I'm sure this has been answered elsewhere but I haven't been able to find it after searching, so if there's a link please feel free to send it my way!

Anyways my boys about 13-14 weeks old and are NOT interested in getting off of formula. I'm not in a rush and will definitely wait until they decide they are done I'm just curious if I going about this correctly.

We give them formula in a saucer in the morning (as much as they will eat) and when we leave for work we put two blocks in their cage. I feed them again in the afternoon (as much as they will eat) and at night I put 2 more blocks in their cage.

They will nibble on their blocks but mostly them just shred them, which I wouldn't mind except they are expensive!

Is there anything that I can do to encourage them to eat their blocks and get off formula or do I just have to give them more time?

I wish every one of mine would take formula forever! That said, I think that they will eventually switch over to wanting the blocks. You can also offer less expensive blocks like Mazuri whilke they are wasting them. Mine get both HHBs and Mazuri.

At about 11 weeks I started feeding formula twice a day. They have veggies and hhb in morning. They first only shredded the hhb and rat blocks but eventually they started to really eat their hhb. They love their yogurt and formula in a saucer but will leave that for last now. They eat their hhb first then veggies and yogurt last.

Yeah, they went down to two formulas feedings last week as that was their choice. I offered three but they stopped wanting the third.

I'm hoping to have them established on blocks before I started them on vegetables and the like. I I just wasn't sure if I was going about this correctly or if I should be dipping the blocks in something to make them eat it. Guess I'll have to be patient!

    Thank you!
