Aw, he's had a heck of a day - hopefully he will sleep so soundly you will be able to sneak out from under him!

So, just to give everyone an update.

First I want to say Thank You for all of the help and advice I have received. It has kept me same over the last 5 days.

Since this happened to my Boo last Wednesday, he is still dragging his rear legs but has more feeling in his feet and tail than before. He seems to be getting feeling back little at a time. He also twitched his tail at me for the first time today. It wasn't much but enough to make me notice. He also kicked his back foot and spread his toes. He is also wanting to crawl around more and more. Luckily he doesn't seem to be in pain anymore and is more active than ever since Saturday. Poor guy can't do anything but drag himself but acts as if nothing is wrong. I am still hoping to wake up and find him running around the house again, however I am happy just seeing the smallest of improvement as the days pass. Still holding out for a miracle but just happy that my little guy is happy!

Oh I'm so glad to hear he's showing improvement! Sounds like the meds are doing their job. Spinal cord compression can take a while to heal, but the meloxicam is taking the swelling down & relieving the pressure on his spinal cord. The more the swelling around his spinal cord goes down, the more nerve impulses get through, and the more movement he'll regain. The tail twitching and toe spreading are particularly good signs, as they are fine motor skills vs. gross motor like hips & knees. VERY encouraging update keep on keeping us posted!

That is more hopeful than you could ever know. Every little bit is a step toward being better. Keep up the good work!
