Default Recommendations for a Full spectrum lightbulb

I need help finding a good full spectrum light bulb. I see Lowe's and Home Depot carry them but need to know if these are good ones to use in my squirrel room. I want to make sure my baby is getting proper lighting.
    Thanks a bunch!

If you are looking only for illumination and no benefits as far as Vitamin D is concerned, the bulbs at the big box stores are fine - frankly, if "full spectrum" are more expensive, just get regular bulbs.

If you want to use these lights to facilitate calcium absorbsion - in other words, you want to use them as a substitute for the sun, you have to buy reptile bulbs. They are coated with something that emits actual UV light for 6 to 8 months of use.

The best pricing I have found for these is the following:

Note: These are the "T-8" fluorescents - the skinny ones, so you need to make sure you buy a fixture that uses those, not the fatter lights. I know that Lowes sells inexpensive 2 light 4 foot plug in type fluorescent fixtures for about $20 - HD probably does too.

If you look through the pet mountain site, you will see they also have the screw in fluorescents in the Reptisun 10.0.

Thank you. I think I need something for calcium to be absorbed right? So there isn't a light bulb I can put in my existing sockets?
