Idk where to begin.. it’s a sad situation. A lady was raising a baby squirrel on powdered goat’s milk Esbilac, and ultimately neglected him. By the time I got him, he had AP, an infection on his penis from genital suckling, was severely dehydrated and absolutely emaciated. He tried to go off his heating pad for two days. After treatment with a dewormer, Albon, Baytril, and tons of sub q fluids, he pulled through, and was doing really well on FV 32/40 but then out of nowhere, diarrhea struck. He’s been on diastat for 12 hours and I plan on feeding him that for 24 hours then transitioning him to FV 20/50. Is this a reasonable plan? I read on another thread to consider coccidia and treatment with Corid 9.6% from Tractor Supply could be used. Could someone assist with the dosing for an 80 g baby? Thanks in advance.
