Hello everyone ! i just got this mother squirrel for the last week and a half here at home haven't had a problem with her yet but she gave birth to 6 babies 3 died (she ate them afterwards) now 3 are remaining. they are very active and looks healthy but this morning i found in the bottom of her cage the tip of her tail so i tried to research and people seem to say it might be self mutilation out of boredom or calcium deficiency ? i did cook some rodent blocks after the second day with all the ingredients you guys use + some calcium powder in it. she seem to have proper nutrition but her cage may be too small, aware of that i was building a huge cage for her all week long spend over 200$ on materials it was not ready but i sped things up to transfer her today... what do you guys think about the tail ? thanks in advance i have been member since a week already posted once and got a lot of help aspecialy from HRT4SQRLS's,critter mom and diggie's friend ! thanks in advance sorry my english i'm from quebec hehe
pictures are following: you can see the small cage she was in for a week that i put in the big cage today hope that helps
