Okay, this time I am not crazy -- there actually is a large, bloody-looking lump on one of my backyard squirrels. I noticed it yesterday but he got scared off before I could take a picture of him. I was able to get a couple blurry shots of him today before he saw me through the window and ran. I'm keeping an eye out for him to see if I can get a clearer shot. But for now, what do you guys think?

From what I've seen in humans it looks like an abscess to me, but I am obviously not a squirrel expert!

Also, when I saw this little guy yesterday he was poking around in the grass while a hawk was circling overhead and all the other squirrels were alarming. He acted like he had no idea anything was going on.

Is there anything I can do for him? I'm willing to do absolutely anything to help him, just say the word!
