Wouldn't they require you to get tested for that? Also beautiful squirrels you have!

Seeing this post I decided to order some enrofloxacin. I can testify that their store site check out did not work on Mozilla Firefox for me and I had to use MS Edge browser to make my purchase.

(I also tried logging directly into Paypal on Firefox and I could not... so maybe it was a temporary issue with Paypal and not their site's fault... just a theory).

Let me know how your purchase goes and if you get the item! Compared to other sites their price was the best from what I've saw.

Just got lucky and was able to get amoxicillin 500mg from a family member who recently needed it. How should I go about giving the medication to him? Without giving too much or too little

You need to weigh the baby, preferably in grams but if you only have a scale that does ounces, we can calculate. With the size of the pill which we have and the weight of the squirrel, on of us will calculate how you need to dilute this and then dose the mixture you make. You will REQUIRE a 1ml or smaller syringe to properly measure the small dose you squirrel will get.

I will watch the thread and as soon as you post the weight I will calculate and send you a PM with directions.

Just got this for the squirrels is this good? I read goat milk is good for them based on the link that was provided earlier. So I assume I would have to mix it with yogurt and the other stuff said?
I will also update with their weight once I receive the scale

I received a confirmation and tracking within an hour, the tracking shows it is already on its way... definitely the best price I have ever seen.

Just got what? There were no details or a picture or link, nothing.

The Goat's Milk Recipe is a temporary formula intended to bide them over until proper formula can be obtained... The powdered Esbilac puppy milk is the correct formula.

Didn't realize I didn't post the link lol my mistake. Here's the link of the milk

The place I went to has esbilac powdered formula but they only had the kitten version and the canned puppy milk which is what I was using originally.

No, that is no good for squirrels.

All you need is plain old goat's milk, plain yogurt and some heavy cream. Here is the recipe:

    Homemade Goats Milk Formula:
    3 tablespoons goat milk
    3 tablespoons plain yogurt
    2 tablespoons heavy cream

If the grocer does not sell goat milk in the refrigerated diary section along with cow's milk, check the baking isle by the condensed sweeten milk etc. There is usually a powdered goat milk that can be bought there (you mix it up with water before using per the directions on the can).

Keep in mind this is a *temporary* formula until you can get a proper formula.

The pet shop told me this was good😭 I had traded it in for the Esbalic puppy canned milk. I will get this instead next and use this for them.

Random question the boy squirrel doesn't seem to be struggling to breathe anymore compared to the other night. Just more tired so I've been keeping him hydrated along with feeding regular formula routine. Would it still be beneficial to give him the amoxicillin once the scale comes in?

Pet shops will always have something to sell you even if it is totally useless for your needs... I cannot tell you how many times we've heard "the pet shop told me this was the as Esbilac" No, there is not another puppy formula like Esbilac.

"Doesn't seem to be struggling" or "Is no longer struggling" to breath?

No, it is not beneficial to give antibiotics to baby squirrels unless they are needed. Symptoms of AP (Aspiration Pneumonia) include loss of appetite, lethargy (hard to tell when all babies do is sleep) and the tell-tale clicking when they breath.

All babies will "click" at times, especially after eating. This is a mouth click but an AP click comes from their lungs (but very hard to tell the difference without experience) and sometimes you can also hear a "rice-crispy" like cracking in their lungs. If he had AP, he would be getting worse, not better, without being given any antibiotics. It can take them down very quickly, in a matter of hours which is why we encourage to have antibiotics on hand.. nothing worse than scrabbling to find something after the infection has taken hold.

Yeah he told me goat milk is good for baby squirrels and since I had read goat milk was good for them I got it but I hadn't realized there was a difference with formula or just straight goat milk.

Is no longer struggling to breath. The night I noticed I definitely heard the clicking sound and he looked like he was breathing hard. The morning of the clicking sound lessened but the breathing looked slightly better and didn't have much energy. Right now I just fed him and his breathing is fine, no clicking sounds even when I put him close to my ear and he looks to have more energy. He was walking crawling around fast and wanting to eat. He let's me know when he doesn't want food cause he'll push the syringe away lol and he hadn't done that tonight. I'm glad I have the medication though on hand just in case because I was for sure scrambling trying to figure out how to get what he needed at that time
