    Default Fruit Help

I know the recommended guidelines indicate 2 small pieces of fruit per day. I need fruit ideas. My 4 this year won't eat the usual. They want blueberries and pomegranate. Only. They will not eat: banana, apple (sweet or tart), raspberry, blackberry, mango, starfruit, melon, watermelon, pear.

So.....does anyone think is bad if they just get blueberry and pomegranate daily?

What type of fruits have your squirrels eaten?

Probably won't hurt to have the same thing every day. Have you tried red grapes? I always use Red Delicious apples. How about strawberries? Not all of mine eat strawberries though. I always use Bosch pears too (and they are usually pretty well received)

Over the years I have tried all kinds of fruit and usually wasted most of it. I generally stick to red grapes, RD apples, Bosch pears, blueberries and banana. Every once in awhile I'll grab a papaya, but that's like once or twice a year.

    Hello...

Have you tried a slice of a navel orange? They're super high in calcium and some squirrels love them.

Mine barely eat any fruit, but they too like blueberries and poms. If that's what they like, I see no reason to not give it to them. I don't give it every day, but they do get only those and an occasional apple.

Cranberries are a must have for my boy. Before they are gone for the season grab a few bags . They freeze well and you can offer through out the year. Also great their urinary tract. Watermelon is also a huge hit
