Default Help - flying squirrel major drooling

Benni was sleeping in my shirt pocket under some blankets sleeping with me for the last few hours while I worked on my computer. He just poked his head out and I noticed his fur was wet on his arm and really wet from his chin down. He was not like this before he went to sleep. I often check on him while he's sleeping in his nest by reaching inside and stroking his face, he has never had drool like this.

The only other time I've seen him drool like this was when he overheated in his bonding pouch, he was lethargic and drooling so I immediately gave him cold water and he was okay (threw that bonding pouch away).

I checked his teeth and they are not too long, both upper and lower incisors seem to be in good shape.

Have any of your flyers drooled in their sleep like this? Thought it was maybe nothing more than deep sleep drool but am also concerned. Anything is helpful

I think he was, again, overheated. He may be an animal who overheats easily; some do. Cold water again, and ease up on the blankies.

    Thanks for the input

He wasn't lethargic this time and was very active, I put him back in his cage but he did not go for water. I guess I thought if he was overheating he would try to exit, he didn't move at all
